In search of a tailored digital solution for housekeeping operations, the prestigious hotel partnered with hotelkit, marking the beginning of a project that set new standards years ago and continues to shape digital housekeeping solutions today. 


hotelkit Housekeeping was developed as a needs-based extension of the existing hotelkit Collaboration Tool, precisely tailored to meet the demands of modern hospitality. Seamlessly integrated into the hotelkit ecosystem, it connects directly to the PMS via a two-face interface, ensuring a smooth and efficient flow of information between housekeeping, front office, and maintenance. 


The result is a digital solution that not only meets the expectations of a luxury hotel but also sustainably improves day-to-day operations for staff. Processes are clearly structured, communication is streamlined, and the high quality standards of the Sacher brand are evident in every detail , as this success story shows:

Centralizing Housekeeping Operations 

Sacher Hotels aimed to enhance cross-location communication and establish a unified digital system that would reflect their strong values of quality and family spirit. The challenge was clear: to develop a housekeeping tool from the ground up, tailored precisely to the unique needs of a five-star hotel of this caliber. Off-the-shelf solutions would not suffice. 

Solution

A Custom Housekeeping Tool for High Standards

Several years ago, hotelkit and the Sacher team jointly developed a customized tool that fully digitizes and automates housekeeping operations while integrating smart interfaces. From the outset, the project was driven by close collaboration: an internal project team worked side by side with hotelkit to create a solution that fit the refined demands of a grand hotel like the Sacher. 


Since then, hotelkit Housekeeping has become a core part of daily hotel operations, mapping every cleaning process digitally, enabling centralized task planning, and providing a live overview of room status. Automated workflows and mobile access continue to simplify the workload significantly, a proven success, year after year.

Today, years after its successful implementation, hotelkit remains an integral part of operations at Sacher Hotels and is a true engine for efficiency and quality. Its use spans far beyond housekeeping: handovers, repairs, task management, news, and guest feedback all benefit from the structured and collaborative environment hotelkit supports. A powerful testament to its value: a dedicated hotelkit room was set up at the Vienna property to ensure access for all employees and a clear statement of commitment to digital excellence at the highest level.
