Linguistic diversity and technological know-how in Housekeeping 

The majority of our housekeeping staff had no prior experience with the technologies we employ. Besides hotelkit, we also use other software such as a PMS tool, a training tool and an HR tool. hotelkit is particularly useful as it’s easy to understand and can therefore be integrated into the daily workflow right from the get-go, regardless of the employee’s language skills or technological know-how. It’s simple to use, which makes retrieving required information or writing a handover to the front office very easy. In hotelkit, there is a Google Translate feature that makes bypassing language hurdles possible. A news entry or task can be directly translated into the desired language with only one click.

A strong collaboration and clear communication within the team are vital to ensure happy guests. Our goal is to ensure that our guests are enthusiastic about our hotel, have an incredible experience and give us positive reviews. 

When a guest, for example, expresses a request at the front desk, the information is usually passed on seamlessly within the team. However, if the guest utters his request to the breakfast room’s temporary worker, who isn’t proficient in German, this becomes tricky. hotelkit assists us in documenting and disseminating information quickly and effortlessly across the hotel. With the various system languages and translation features, everyone can comprehend and follow the necessary steps and tasks. Thanks to hotelkit, we experience much fewer issues with lost information, about 60% less than before.
